MOLYKOTE HP-300

Main features

  • Fully Fluorinated PFPE/PTFE Lubrication
  • 65 to 250 deg C Service Range
  • 3,300 N Four-Ball Weld Load

Product Description

MOLYKOTE® HP-300 Grease is a white, fully fluorinated lubricating grease based on perfluoropolyether oil with a PTFE thickener and PTFE solid lubricants. The NLGI Grade 2 formulation provides lubrication across a service-temperature range of −65°C to 250°C and resists chemicals, solvents, oxidation, and high-temperature exposure. It is suitable for harsh environments including corrosive service, liquefied natural gas, high vacuum, cleanroom equipment, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment where low lubricant volatilization is important. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

Key features

  • Fully fluorinated formulation: Uses PFPE base oil with a PTFE thickener and PTFE solid lubricants.
  • Wide service-temperature range: Supports lubrication from −65°C to 250°C.
  • Chemical and solvent resistance: Formulated for harsh and chemically aggressive operating environments.
  • Low-volatility base oil: Provides a base-oil vapor pressure of 4 × 10−10 Pa at 20°C.
  • High-temperature stability: Shows 0.2% evaporation after 24 hours at 200°C under MIL-S-8660 testing.
  • Plastic compatibility: Compatible with most plastics.

Applications / Suitable for

  • Cleanroom and semiconductor manufacturing equipment
  • High-vacuum and low-volatilization applications
  • Corrosive and solvent-exposed equipment
  • Liquefied-natural-gas service
  • Rolling-element bearings, valves, packings, seals, and O-rings
  • Plastic, rubber, and elastomer lubrication

Product Type
Material category or functional product class.
Chemically resistant grease; NLGI 2
Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.
