LOCTITE TCP7000

Main features

  • Stencil-Printable Phase-Change Layer
  • No Pump-Out or Dry-Out
  • Reworkable Silicone-Free Interface

Product Description

LOCTITE TCP 7000 Printable Phase-Change Thermal Interface Material is a gray, non-silicone phase-change thermal interface paste formulated for stencil or screen printing between heat-generating devices and heat-dissipating surfaces. The cartridge-supplied material dries to a solid layer, then flows at its 45 deg C phase-change temperature to conform at the interface. Dried material has thermal conductivity greater than 3.0 W/(m K) by ASTM D5470 and an operating range up to 150 deg C. It is reworkable and is formulated to avoid pump-out, dry-out, and silicone migration in processors, memory devices, power modules, IGBTs, and active heat-sink assemblies.

Key features

  • Stencil and Screen Printing: Supports patterned application through stencil or screen processes.
  • Reworkable Silicone-Free Interface: Provides a removable interface without silicone migration.
  • 45 deg C Phase Change: The dried layer flows at the phase-change temperature to conform at the interface.

Applications

Applications include microprocessors, GPUs, multi-chip modules, ASICs, IGBTs, FBDIMMs and other memory devices, lidded processors, active heat sinks, power modules, and high-power electronics.

Thermal Properties
Operating Temperature
up to 150 °C
Thermal Conductivity
Thermal conductivity describes the ability of a material to conduct heat. It is required by power packages in order to dissipate heat and maintain stable electrical performance. Thermal conductivity units are [W/(m K)] in the SI system and [Btu/(hr ft °F)] in the Imperial system.
>3.0 W/m.K

Specific Gravity
Specific gravity (SG) is the ratio of the density of a substance to the density of a reference substance; equivalently, it is the ratio of the mass of a substance to the mass of a reference substance for the same given volume. For liquids, the reference substance is almost always water (1), while for gases, it is air (1.18) at room temperature. Specific gravity is unitless.
