- 225% Cured Elongation
- Polycarbonate, Nylon, and Primed-Metal Bonding
- 1:1 Mix with 15-Minute Open Time
Product Description
Araldite® AW 8680 Resin / Hardener HW 8680 is a general-purpose, two-part polyurethane adhesive designed for bonding a wide variety of substrates. It provides a long open time and cures to form a highly flexible bond, making it particularly well suited for primed metals and plastics such as polycarbonate and nylon.
Key features
- Excellent flexibility: Delivers highly flexible bonds with an elongation of 225% once fully cured.
- Convenient processing: Features an easy-to-use 1:1 mix ratio by volume for straightforward application.
- Extended open time: Offers a 15-minute pot life at 77°F (25°C), providing ample time for assembly.
Applications / Suitable for
- General plastic bonding.
- Bonding polycarbonate and nylon headlamps.
- Primed metal bonding applications.

Technical Specifications
General Properties
Mix Ratio
1:1
The amount of a constituent divided by the total amount of all other constituents in a mixture
Pot Life
30 minutes
Pot life is the amount of time it takes for the viscosity of a material to double (or quadruple for lower viscosity materials) in room temperature after a material is mixed.
It is closely related to work life but it is not application dependent, less precise and more of a general indication of how fast a system is going to cure.
Mechanical Properties
Elongation
15 %
Elongation is the process of lengthening something.
It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks.
It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.
