DYMAX 750-SC

Main features

  • Visual See-Cure Color Change
  • Sprayable Thermal-Spray Coverage
  • Hard High-Adhesion Protection

Product Description

Dymax SpeedMask 750-SC Maskant is a See-Cure UV/visible-light-curable process maskant that changes from purple to pink as cure develops. Its sprayable gel behavior supports controlled coverage for high-temperature plasma spray, HVOF, wire arc, thermal-spray coating, and aggressive grit-blasting operations. After cure, the mask is stated as high adhesion, hard, and durable for temporary process protection. The product is also listed for orthopedic implant protection with ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity evaluation scope, which must remain tied to the exact stated conditions.

Key features

  • Purple-to-pink cure indication: The See-Cure color change provides a visual cue as light cure develops.
  • Sprayable gel coverage: The material supports controlled application over thermal-spray masking areas.
  • Hard durable barrier: The cured mask provides high adhesion for aggressive thermal and abrasive processing.

Applications / Suitable for

  • High-temperature plasma spray and HVOF
  • Wire arc and thermal-spray coating
  • Aggressive grit blasting and orthopedic implant process protection

Mechanical Properties
Elongation
Elongation is the process of lengthening something. It is a percentage that measures the initial, unstressed, length compared to the length of the material right before it breaks. It is commonly referred to as Ultimate Elongation or Tensile Elongation at break.

Physical Properties
Viscosity
Viscosity is a measurement of a fluid’s resistance to flow. Viscosity is commonly measured in centiPoise (cP). One cP is defined as the viscosity of water and all other viscosities are derived from this base. MPa is another common unit with a 1:1 conversion to cP. A product like honey would have a much higher viscosity -around 10,000 cPs- compared to water. As a result, honey would flow much slower out of a tipped glass than water would. The viscosity of a material can be decreased with an increase in temperature in order to better suit an application
